About Dr. Hayre

Dr. Nicole Hayre is a board certified dermatologist who received degrees from both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and George Washington University School of Medicine. Her medical training continued at the Washington Hospital Center where she completed a medical internship, a research fellowship, and a dermatology residency during which she was chief resident. Dr. Hayre has an extensive research background dating back to her days at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her work in laboratories there and at Merck Pharmaceuticals, the National Institutes of Health, and the MedStar Research Institute/Washington Hospital Center has contributed to many scientific papers. Dr. Hayre's work on melanoma research won her the American Academy of Dermatology Everett C. Fox, MD Residents and Fellows Award, the Bill Read Fellowship, the MedStar Research Institute Fellow Research Award, and the Walter Rosenberg Award.

In 2003, Dr. Hayre founded and opened the Cosmetic Dermatology Center. In addition to her dermatologic expertise, she utilizes her scientific background to consistently evaluate new dermatologic treatments and cosmetic procedures for her office. This helps her to bring the best medical and cosmetic treatments to her patients.

Dr. Hayre is a member of multiple medical societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the Medical Society of Northern Virginia, the American Society for Photodynamic Therapy, and the Leadership Society of the Dermatologic Foundation.
